We're happy to offer our DC readers passes to a free advance screening of The Finest Hours, based on the harrowing true story of the Coast Guard's most daring rescue. Directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Chris Pine, Ben Foster, Casey Affleck, Eric Bana, and Holliday Grainger, the film is set in 1952 when a powerful nor'easter hit New England and ripped in half a T-2 oil tanker, stranding the 30 brave sailors aboard the sinking vessel. The Coast Guard's Captain Bernie Webber (Pine) set out on a small, ill-equipped lifeboat, putting his own life and the life of his crew, on the line to rescue them.
The screening takes place on Monday, January 25th at 7:30pm at AMC Mazza Gallerie. If you'd like to attend, simply go to the See It First ticketing site here and enter code '689077'. Please remember that having passes does not guarantee entry as all screenings are first come, first served. Enjoy the show!
The Finest Hours opens in DC on January 29th.
