Talk about a Christmas present for true cinephiles! Last night Deadline's Pete Hammond sat down with two of today's most creative filmmakers, Quentin Tarantino and Paul Thomas Anderson (also my two favorite), in an amazing 40-minute discussion about the current state of cinema. A lot of it centered on Tarantino's use of 70mm on The Hateful Eight, their mutual love for the format, and the impact it could have going forward.
This is cool for a number of reasons, especially since Tarantino and Anderson have such a great fondness for one another's work. Check it out for yourself below, and be sure to check out The Hateful Eight if the road show is in your town.
