While many will be looking at the trailer for Exposed as just another forgettable Keanu Reeves film before we're graced with John Wick 2, I look at it and see one very interesting castmember: legendary rapper Big Daddy Kane. The "smooth operator" hasn't acted much since 1993's Posse, but he appears to have a significant role in this rather pedestrian-looking crime thriller. So if there's a reason beyond Reeves to keep this on the radar, Kane is it.
Written and directed by Declan Dale with Mira Sorvino, Christopher McDonald, and Reeves' Knock Knock co-star Ana de Armas as part of the cast, the film centers on a detective investigating the murder of his partner, only to uncover dark secrets, police corruption, and a mysterious young woman who may hold all of the answers. It doesn't look like much, but Reeves has been pulling out a few surprises lately and maybe this will be one.
Exposed hits theaters and ITunes on January 22nd.
