The combination of David O. Russell and Jennifer Lawrence has been pretty much unstoppable. The director has earned some his strongest reviews for Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, while she has won an Oscar for one and nominated for the other. And it looks like the same could be in the works for their third collaboration, Joy.
A new trailer for the loose biopic on inventor Joy Mangano has been released, ahead of its Christmas Day debut. Lawrence plays the creator of the Miracle Mop which sold in the millions on QVC, beginning her entrepreneurial career. But it didn't start out so great as Joy struggled with a complicated family life that threatened to hold back her natural brilliance. Robert De Niro, Edgar Ramirez, Bradley Cooper, Virginia Madsen, Diane Ladd, Dascha Polanco, Elisabeth Rohm, and Isabella Rossellini make up an impressive ensemble.
Check out the new trailer below, followed by a new clip featuring Lawrence and Cooper.
