For his first English-language feature, Canadian wunderkind Xavier Dolan (Mommy, Laurence Anyways) is putting together the most star-studded cast he's ever worked with. Jessica Chastain, Kit Harington, Susan Sarandon, Kathy Bates, and even Adele are part of the cast for The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, and now you can add Taylor Kitsch to the list.
The True Detective and John Carter star has an unspecified but "unique" role in the film, which explores the hardships of fame, issues of identity and diversity in Hollywood, and more. Harington plays the title character, a young actor recalling the secret correspondence he shared with a famous American star who died 10 years earlier.
Filming begins next year. Dolan is already wrapped on his next film, It’s Only the End of the World, which stars Marion Cotillard, Vincent Cassel, and Lea Seydoux. [TheWrap]
