This is a week of good deeds from the folks at Disney and Lucasfilm, some much bigger and more important than others. In case you missed it, a terminally ill fan had made seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens as his final wish, and J.J. Abrams and Co. made that happen for him. Let's hope it lived up to the hype for him and that his journey to see the film didn't look like a remake of Fanboys.
On the less important but still pretty cool side is the release of a brand new trailer for the film which is almost entirely made up of new footage. But wait, didn't Abrams say there would be no more trailers? Sure, but he didn't say anything about Japanese ones, did he? This one is mostly focused on Rey (Daisy Ridley), including a confrontation she has with the villainous Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) that could be her last. Probably not, though.
Also included is an international poster with Kylo Ren looking menacing at its center.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens December 18th.
