America's obsession with the British monarchy is intriguing at best, annoying at worst. For some reason, everyone can't get enough of the royal family and their activities, and it doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon.
A new biopic about the deceased Princess of Wales chronicles the last two years of her life and her secret affair with surgeon Hasnat Khan. The film is simply titled Diana and is based on the book, Diana: Her Last Love, by Kate Snell.
The film will explore Diana's final days, her divorce from Prince Charles, and other crucial events leading up to her death in 1997.
The title role is played by two-time Oscar nominee Naomi Watts. The film also stars Naveen Andrews, Douglas Hodge, and Juliet Stevenson and is set to hit limited theaters November 1.
