New trailer for Steven Soderbergh's 'Side Effects' with Channing Tatum and Rooney Mara

If Side Effects truly is the final theatrical film for Steven Soderbergh, then I don't mind if they put out a dozen trailers for it. Hopefully that won't be the case, and we can expect more from the director after he finishes his Liberace pic, Behind the Candelabra. But assuming this is the end, it looks like he's going out with a psychological bang.

The film stars Rooney Mara, Channing Tatum, and Jude Law in a story dealing with one woman's descent into the world of prescription drug addiction, spurred on by the return of her husband from prison. This trailer gives the impression it's more of a dark and twisted erotic thriller, with a potential love triangle emerging between the three stars. You have to expect a film like this from Soderbergh and Contagion scribe Scott Z. Burns is going to be more complicated than it appears on the surface.

Side Effects opens on February 8th.
