Surprise! WWE Studios is no longer being looked down upon by Hollywood, and has gotten in the business of making flicks people outside of their pro wrestling fan base want to see. Vince McMahon has been smart about it, too, by slotting his superstars into smaller roles and introducing them to a broader audience. One of the better looking films of this early season is Dead Man Down, which not only features Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace, but WWE superstar Wade Barrett in a small part.
A new poster for the film has been released, which includes Terrence Howard and some poor guy getting tossed out of a window. Hopefully there's a net down there? Eh, maybe not. I'm also including a couple of shots of Barrett as one of Howard's henchman. It's a role he should be able to do easily enough.
Directed by Niels Arden Oplev(The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), the film centers on Victor, a professional killer who is seduced then blackmailed by Beatrice into exacting revenge against the crimelord who hurt her. Dead Man Down also stars Dominic Cooper and hits theaters on March 8th.
