It had to happen sooner or later that the curtain would be lifted on J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness, but the lengths he's gone to keep it under cover have been mighty impressive. Even at this late stage details are still thin, not exactly helped by the recently released plot synopsis. Do we even have confirmation on who Benedict Cumberbatch's villain is? We think we do, but do we really?
But now we're getting the deepest look at the film yet with the arrival of the first official poster, a U.K. one-sheet which features Cumberbatch's character staring over a London devastated by some cataclysmic event. It'll be interesting to see if the domestic poster features an American city. This arrives just in time, ahead of the 9-minute IMAX preview and trailer preceding The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
