From the makers of the amazing stop-motion hit, Coraline, comes my favorite animated film of the year, ParaNorman! Because we're such big fans, we want to give you a chance to see it a little early by attending a free advance screening held at Regal Gallery Place on August 16th at 7pm. We've got 50 Admit-Two passes to the event, which we'll award to the first 50 to leave a comment here with their full name, email address, and favorite monster movie.
Only those who are fans of Punch Drunk Critics on Facebook will qualify, so if you haven't done it yet, "Like" us now. We won't be using Gofobo for distribution this time, as we have hard tickets which will be distributed to winners at the screening. Entry into the theater is first come/first served, so you'll want to arrive at least an hour early(maybe longer), and get in line so there's plenty of time for us to find you, give you the passes, and ensure you get a seat. Additional details will be ironed out when winners are contacted by email on Tuesday August 14th.
We hope you enjoy the show! ParaNorman opens in theaters on August 17th. Check out the plot and trailer below....
The new 3D stop-motion comedy thriller from animation company LAIKA, retiming the company with Focus Features after the groundbreaking Academy Award-nominated 'Coraline'. 'ParaNorman' is, following 'Coraline', the company's second stop-motion animated feature to be made in 3D. In 'ParaNorman', a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to zombies, he'll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst of all, grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.
