Join the island of misfit toys in a new clip from 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower'
When we start breaking down the films that are going to catch some people by surprise this fall season, one of those I think is sure to be The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Based on the best selling teen novel adapted and directed by the author, Stephen Chbosky, the film may look like your standard issue angst-filled high school drama, but the cast consisting of Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, and Ezra Miller in a bounce back performance(he sucked in We Need to Talk About Kevin) elevate it to surprisingly great heights.
A new clip from the film has been released, and it's one of the most crucial scenes in the film as it shows troubled outcast, Charlie(Lerman) accepted into another group of high school misfits that Sam(Watson) affectionately refers to as their "island of misfit toys". This comes after they've already gotten him high and drunk and talking to girls for basically the first time in his life.
I'll be talking to Chbosky about the film tomorrow to be aired on a future episode of our show. For now, enjoy this new clip from The Perks of Being a Wallflower, due out in theaters on September 14th....
